Miami-area residents are invited to explore the local marine wildlife at Biscayne National Park, which includes inhabitants such as pipefish, shrimp, crabs, and seahorses. The event will be hosted every Sunday from 2:45 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. until Oct. 26, 2014. Participants of all ages will have an opportunity to wade knee-deep into the waters of Biscayne Bay with park officials to learn about the diverse ecosystem living right under their noses.
Admission is free. However, space is limited to 20 participants per outing. Children under 12 must wear a lifejacket and be chaperoned by an adult. Participants must check in at Biscayne National Park Visitor’s Center before the event. They are encouraged to wear bring water and wear sunscreen.
